Tablets to Outsell PCs by 2015 - Pills will outsell pcs by 2015 globally in another sign of the shifting tech landscape, a study showed Monday.
A review by the analysis company Gartner said that the shift comes despite a chilling of the product industry in 2014 and some balance in PC revenue, due to improvements of getting older gadgets.

The analysis company said it expects complete PC revenue this season of 308 thousand models, with some development in "ultramobiles" offsetting decreases in traditional desktop and laptop purchases.
For 2014, PC revenue will still hold a lead over tablets - with revenue predicted of 256 thousand models. But by 2015, product revenue will hit 320 thousand to 316 thousand for PCs, it revenue.

Gartner experts said the product industry is chilling a bit, with development slowing to 23.9 % this season, around 50 percent the pace of 2013. The PC industry meanwhile is seeing relative balance - with a decline predicted of 2.9 % after a 9.5 % drop last season.
Gartner specialist Ranjit Atwal said PC revenue are being helped by improvements and alternatives of getting older gadgets.
"This season, we anticipate nearly 60 thousand professional PC alternatives in mature markets," he said.
Sales of cell cellular phones are required to reach 1.9 billion dollars models in 2014, a 3.1 % increase - with smartphones accounting for two-thirds of the complete.
Taking into consideration all the gadgets, Google Android is predicted to represent around 50 percent of all revenue - 1.16 billion dollars, Gartner said.
