Both provide wealthy shades that are not loaded with anything, and you only really reduce lighting when you look at them from distinct perspectives. There are a few realistic variations beyond the raw area, mind you. The Pad 8's show is a bit less heavy, at a high 400 nits compared to 330. Either style is easily noticeable in the house, but you'll definitely want the bigger piece if you project outside.
