Design
The UX305's design is an exercise in simplicity; there isn't a single needless protuberance, and its collections and shapes circulation from advantage to advantage with an stylish fluidity. Completed in black obsidian rock, the UX305 carries on the ZenBook custom by presenting a stunning metal whole body and a naturally slim stomach.
The lid is developed with a simple laser-cut group design that extends external from the middle and attracts your eye to the gold Asus logo in the middle.

Inside, the metal outside patio is accompanied by a black Chiclet-style key-board and huge one-piece touch pad. With its fanless design, the end of the UX305 is completely sleek and unbroken, except for the radio stations system presenter grilles on either side and four rubberized legs.
At 12.7 x 8.9 x 0.48 inches wide and 2.64 weight, the UX305 is even slimmer than the already thin Dell XPS 13 (12 x 7.9 x 0.33-0.6 inches wide and 2.6 pounds) and the HP EliteBook Folio 1020 (12.2 x 8.2 x 0.62 inches wide and 2.68 pounds), although it has a a little bit bigger impact than both.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The UX305's Chiclet-style key-board is relaxed and huge. The important factors have a conventional actuation weight of 60 grms, and I was not worried by the a little bit shallower-than-normal key journey of 1.2 mm.

On 10fastfingers.com, I surpassed my 75-words-per-minute regular by about 5 wpm on each of my first three efforts. The only thing I skipped was the backlighting discovered on other Ultrabooks; both the EliteBook Folio 1020 and the XPS 13 have this function.

For your mousing needs, the UX305 functions a well-sized 4.1 x 2.9-inch one-piece touch pad. Actions such as two-finger scrolling and pinch-to-zoom were sleek and sensitive, and the UX305 was never puzzled between remaining and right mouse clicks.
Display
With its flat display, the UX305 dollars the shiny pattern of most contemporary notebooks. This results in shades that look a little bit less soaked when as opposed to competitors, but in come back, you get a shiny show with almost 180-degree watching perspectives and better outside exposure. If you invest more of your energy and effort looking at excel spreadsheets and Term records than images or films, the UX305's flat display is not only more realistic, but looks better, too.
When I viewed ABC's Clean Off the Vessel, the UX305's show did not duplicate the same strong shades or glimmer from Eddie's jewellery that I saw on other glossy-screened notebooks. On the other hand, I never had to deal with my own experience gazing back at me whenever the display washed out to black. Best Laptop Asus ZenBook UX305 2015

Using our light gauge, we discovered that the UX305 created 281 nits, which is a statistic of lighting. That's a little bit below the matte-screened edition of the XPS 13, but 25 % lighter than the EliteBook Folio 1020 and 13 % lighter than the ultraportable regular of 247.
In conditions of shade duplication, the UX305's show protected 93.9 % of the sRGB variety, which is good but fairly conventional for an Ultrabook in this cost range. That's a little bit more than the flat XPS 13 (91.7), but a bit less than the EliteBook Folio 1020 (95 percent).
The one area where the UX305 conducted badly was shade precision. The board authorized a Delta-E ranking of 11.7 (closer to 0 is best). That's more intense than the XPS 13's average ranking of 10.6 and even further from the EliteBook Folio 1020's 7.4.
Audio
The UX305 functions radio stations system audio system developed with help from Hit & Olufsen. Unfortunately, the audio did not quite stay up to the top quality I've come to anticipate from the Danish audio professionals.
When I heard Idiotic Gambino's "Sober" the synthy peaks were thin and crowded out the sensitive terms, while the fish warbled and damaged as the audio system fought to reproduce the levels.
The UX305 comes combined with Asus' AudioWizard application, which provides such presets as Songs Method, Film Method and Game playing Method. But after I tried each predetermined, the audio top quality did not enhance much from my preliminary examining.
The UX305 also comes with Intelligent Audio application, such as a personalized 10-channel equalizer and choices for mic and documenting improvements. I recommended the EQ in Intelligent Audio to AudioWizard's predetermined for getting the most out of the UX305's audio system.
In conditions of quantity, the UX305's underpowered audio system handled to generate just 79 sound levels of audio, which is a lesser amount of than the XPS 13 (94 dB), the EliteBook Folio 1020 (85 dB) and the classification regular of 86 dB.
Heat
Despite its half-inch-thick fanless design, the UX305 never surpassed our 95-degree-Fahrenheit convenience limit. On the Laptop Mag Warm Analyze (15 moments of loading HD video from Hulu), the end of laptops computer was the most popular identify, calculating 93 levels. The touch pad and the space between the G and H important factors were chilly, at 78 and 83 levels, respectively. Best Laptop Asus ZenBook UX305 2015
