El-Ouazzane says OMAP 4 cellular phones will be capable of documenting video in high-definition (1080p), capturing 20-megapixel photos and assisting real-time video chat.
ISuppli’s Sideco says 1.5 and 1.6 GHz processor snacks should hit the market by the end of 2011 or 2012. The rate competition, he contributes, is good for everyone: Faster processor snacks should increase business for chipset creators, help system creators differentiate their products, help suppliers sell more devices and allow customers to do more with their cellular phones.
